Here you will find a number of calculators (daily calorie needs, bmi, ideal body weight, body fat percentage, calories burned, and target heart rate).

Here you will find the list of all foods and where they fall on the glycemic index. Keep in mind that John is largely staying to foods which fall at 55 or less. There are occasional exceptions, but this will help you calculate the best prospects for your own nutritional intake.
