Raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Bob was a mortgage broker and aspiring musician who first became a fixture in America's living rooms when he appeared on ABC Television Network's popular prime time reality series' The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
While his television courtship didn't result in wedding bells, Bob's relationship to hosting flourished. Bob has hosted ABC Daytime's comedic interstitial programming, Wide World of Soaps. For the past few years, he has also been hosting Fun In The Sun and ABC SoapJam events, as well as the wildly popular ABC Super Soap Weekend talkshows at the DisneyMGM Studios in Florida. Bob's other on-air work for ABC includes a role as the National Correspondent for The View.
Outside of ABC, Bob Guiney has been a guest more than than a half-dozen times on the Oprah Winfrey Show, further engaging women in the daytime television audience. But, he's also co-hosted WE's 3 Men and a Chick Flick, as well as Bravo's Battle of the Network Stars. His credits also include several specials for E! Entertainment Television and the TV Guide Channel.
Bob continues to perform music with his own Bob Guiney Band, as well as being a lead-singer with the Band From TV, where he joins Greg Grunberg (Heroes, NBC), Hugh Laurie (House, Fox), Bonnie Somerville (Cashmere Mafia, ABC), and James Denton (Desperate Houswives, ABC).
